KIEV SHOW CANCELLATION It is with deep regret that we have to announce the cancellation of EUROPE’s Final Countdown 30th Anniversary show on December 5th in Kiev Ukraine. Due to contractual issues between the band and the promoter, the show cannot take place and there will be no rescheduling of the concert. “We are very upset that we cannot perform for the first time in Ukraine. | Le 30/10/16 Changement dans l'orientation du DVD d'instruction de J. Norum. Cela repousse à nouveau la sortie de cet objet à une date ultérieure...  A while back I decided to make an instructional DVD for guitar fans, so I started planning it and everything was going fine but after a while i felt that it was just getting way too technical for my personal taste. I'm more into "If a solo has feeling and fits the song and sounds good, then it IS good!"So I decided to start over and do more of a song-oriented thing instead, where I play solos from some of my favorite songs, talk about my gear and so on. And I think it came out great! It's loose and fun which is what guitar playing is all about! In the meanwhile I had a daughter and decided to put the dvd "on ice" for a while and focus on my family and Europe who has been very busy the last couple of years with albums and touring. But now I feel that the time is right to put this DVD out so you can see what it's like in my crazy guitar world ...ha. I want to thank you all for your support, and I hope you will like it! Tax The Heat, who released their debut album “Fed To The Lions” in April on Nuclear Blast Entertainment to mass critical acclaim with press and radio alike, join EUROPE, for their debut shows in most European territories. Hey friends So now it's done, yesterday i went onstage as the drummer of Thin Lizzy at the Skogsröjet festival! We basically had one rehearsal before the show, so of cause i was a wee bit nervous! Even thou i've been listening to all these songs since i was a teenager, and know them inside out, it's still a totally different thing to "step inside" the music and become a vivid part of it. The first part of the show i felt like i was in a different universe, it was simply an unreal feeling! I had memory flashbacks from 1977 when i was a thirteen years old boy, and saw Thin Lizzy in Sweden for the first time. If someone would have said back then "boy... in 40 years you gonna play drums with this band" i would have laughed myself to death, now it was actually happening! As the show went on i got more relaxed and felt like i was "in the music" Unfortunately it was over too fast as all good things usually are, but from now on i can stand straight and say that i'm part of the Thin Lizzy history... Le 15/04/16 Friends I passed by Powerplay Studios today where we recorded The Final Countdown album Sep-Oct 1985. I did some interviews for Swiss press and had a chance to walk through the rooms of the studio. Great feeling and amazing memories. This is the control room where Kevin Elson and Wally Buck produced and engineered the album. They still have the same mixing console SSL-4000 and the same analog Studer tape machine.
